Programme Development & Design Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Programme Development and Design Officer for a 6 month contract on a rate of Circa £200/day Inside IR35. This role will be a hybrid working model with 1 day of the week in the office.
Responsibilities:
– The primary role will be to create the underpinning programme materials and infrastructure required for an organisation led project on flooding, which is already underway.
– Working with the policy team, they will create and develop the materials and establish the mechanisms for this project to be effectively managed and monitored going forward.
– Working with a number of teams in the Division, they will also put in place proportionate project management materials and arrangements for other Divisional projects to support governance and assurance processes and effective delivery of Ministerial priorities.
Essential Skills:
– Experience of project/programme working including the use of management techniques and tools to assess and deliver a programme of projects.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain project management and technical concepts to varied audiences.
– An ability to work both independently and as part of a team to successfully deliver defined tasks effectively and on time.
– Experience of using interpersonal skills to collaborate and build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders from different disciplines to deliver shared objectives.
– Demonstrable experience of public sector project delivery

– Membership of the Association for Project Management
