Project Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager for a 6 month contract with possible extension on a rate of £450/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid based, mostly working from home and occasional days in office and Edinburgh and other offices.
Responsibilities:
– Seeking an experienced and well-rounded Project Manager to join our Programme Management Office.
– The successful candidate will need to have experience on working of change projects within the public sector.
– Includes a wide variety of projects (including data focussed, process improvement, software development and compliance). The role will be part of the PMO and responsible for delivering projects within the programme.
– You will work closely with multi-disciplined teams, spread across Scotland and will engage with stakeholders, collaboratively transforming business processes and systems.
– This role is perfect for an independent and proactive Project Manager who can swiftly assess situations and drive projects to completion within budget and on schedule.
Essential Skills:
– In depth understanding of project management methodologies and techniques
– Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
– In depth understanding of change management methodologies and techniques
– Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
– Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
– Experience of project budget management and reporting
– Relevant degree or HND
– 5 years + within a project management role of working of system implementation / software development full lifecycle projects within data / MI related projects within compliance and regulation projects of working within public sector.
Desirable Skills:
– Relevant APM / PMI / MSP / Prince 2 /CSM qualifications
– Sector knowledge is desirable but not essential
– Experience of projects
– Experience of Information Governance and Records Management
– Experience of case management projects
