Project Manager (Contract Management)
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager (Contract Management) for an initial 12 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £23.53/hour PAYE. This role will be predominantly office based. The working hours are 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
– Gathering and developing business requirements for inclusion in contract specifications
– Implementing and managing contracts including financial and project monitoring
– Compliance with the Scottish Public Finance Manual
– Ensure prompt collection and sign-off of invoices
– Liaise across departments to ensure compliance with the contract/s
– Project manage the contract cycle to ensure sufficient commercial cover is implemented timeously
Essential Skills:
– Experience of setting priorities, roles and responsibilities for yourself and others in a project or legal setting.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build good professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
– Proven organisational skills and decision making ability, line management experience, the ability to work proactively and independently and respond quickly and flexibly to new demands.
– An excellent team player with the ability to work closely with others to deliver results, show initiative and contribute ideas and take action to improve team procedures.
