Project Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Project Officer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £210/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid based.
Responsibilities:
– You will be expected exercise judgment and to work autonomously at a high level to manage and prioritise key deliverables by understanding the priorities in order to deal effectively with requests and changes.
– You will advise proactively on issues and blockers, suggesting ideas for solutions and advising when any blocker or issue should be escalated.
– Promptly archive and ensure a robust audit trail for key decisions.
– Establish and continually improve ways of working using most appropriate IT solutions.
– Provide the first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries.
– Consider, with the Delivery Lead, any specific briefing for meetings which they attend, then source and co-ordinate input on these from the relevant persons/teams.
– Consider, with the Delivery Lead, key documents which may be required to aid the delivery of the and take responsibility for their development and ongoing monitoring.
– Provide support across the wider team any asks where it relates to Single Open Call and the delivery of Key Performance Indicators.
– Provide support across the wider Directorate as required where it aids the delivery of Key Performance Indicators.
– Provide focussed reporting to both the wider team and Directorate as required on the progress of SOC Stage 2.
– Provide leadership and support to other members of the workstream and wider team.
Essential Skills:
– Previous experience of working in an Operational Delivery environment, utilising PPM methodologies, with an ability to adapt quickly to changes and competing deadlines, whilst maintaining high standards at all times.
– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly either as part of a team or on your own.
– Strong oral and written communications skills adaptable to a variety of channels and range of audiences.
– Ability to build effective working relationships, trust and credibility with staff at all levels.
