QAT Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a QAT Analyst for an initial 4 month contract on a rate of £17.72 – £21.01/hour PAYE. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
 
Responsibilities:
 
– To ensure the quality of the organisation is delivered applications through involvement in the full software lifecycle, direct involvement with the customer to understand application use cases and implementation of a hybrid approach utilising both automated and hands on testing techniques
– Customer interaction is critical to the role in order to define useful test scenarios, ensure the application(s) behave in accordance with expectations and catch issues within the development cycle prior to production release
– Keep up to date with industry trends and suggest improvements to QA processes in areas such as Test-Driven Development, Test Automation and Performance Analysis and Tuning
– Cover the full development lifecycle
– Be timely, focused and constructive
– Ensuring the application suite is functioning effectively drives better quality of data and more efficiency into the wider organisation.
 
Essential Skills:
 
– The role requires technical knowledge of a variety of applications, how the customer uses them and expected behaviours; both technical, functional and performance related.
– Communication skills are critical to the success of this role.
– This role requires a blend of knowledge and skills covering:
  1. The applications we support
  2. QA Standard Processes
iii. Key elements of the development process
