Receptionist
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Receptionist for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £12.83/hour PAYE – working 12:00 to 20:00. This role will be based in Edinburgh.
 
Responsibilities:
 
– Provide a full reception service and contribute to the smooth day to day running across both services.
– Assist the administrative teams in client enquiries, managing the waiting areas and completing some basic administrative tasks. 
– Be the first point of contact by phone, email and face to face for clients of both services.
 
Essential Skills:
 
– Learning gained through work experience (typically at least six months). May include short courses. 
– Good working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and other office software.
– Ability to learn new systems including the Centre’s Database
– Good numeracy and literacy skills.
– Accuracy and ability to prioritise tasks within a routine.
– Ability to apply and understand relevant standard procedures and policies.
– Flexible approach to duties and willingness to learn.
– Ability to communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships.
– Ability to work with people at all levels and to provide a warm, friendly front of house.
 
Desirable Skills:
 
– Experience in receptionist role.
