Registry Administrator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Registry Administrator (Timetabling and Attendance) for an initial 2 month contract on a rate of £14.80/hour PAYE. This role will be based in Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
– Be the first point of contact and proactively administer the organisation’s room booking service, resolving queries and issues as necessary.
– Assist the timetabling officers as directed in the production of individual student timetables.
– Respond to staff and student enquiries about teaching timetables and escalating these where required
– Responsible for setting up and maintaining staff user records on the Timetabling system.
– Provide the central administrative support for student attendance monitoring in line with the attendance monitoring policy
– Respond to staff and student queries about teaching timetables and escalating these where required.
– Provide support in setting up and maintaining the QR codes displayed in teaching rooms
– Be the first point of contact for student attendance issues, resolving and passing on or escalating to other teams when necessary.
– Responsible for setting up and maintaining staff user records on the Attendance Monitoring system.
– To ensure that all work carried out within area of responsibility meets the requirements and needs of the institutions Information Security policies & practices.
– Ensure that all work carried out within area of responsibility are undertaken in line with the organisation’s Values & Behaviours and Registry’s Commitments.
– Proficiently utilise and analyse data from the organisation’s systems for the preparation of MI, statistical returns and audit materials on timetabling utilisation and related data and student attendance.
– To assist, as necessary, at major Registry activities.
– To work with colleagues from all areas of the organisation to assist in delivering an excellent student experience.
– Any other tasks appropriate to the post and in line with business needs.
Essential Skills:
– HNC level or equivalent relevant experience
– Intermediate working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
– Experience in working with Student Information Management, Timetabling and Attendance Monitoring systems
– Articulate, with attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
– A good understanding of data analysis relevant to this position
– Experience of preparation of data reports
– The ability to carry out a number of tasks concurrently and to work to tight competing deadlines
– Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
– Good team player
– Excellent organisational skills and flexible approach to workload
– The ability to exercise initiative and show a high degree of responsibility
