Senior Administrator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow or Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a PA/Administrator for an initial 3-month contract on a rate of £15.88 per hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office. This role is Monday to Friday, working a 35 hour week.
The role can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh
Candidates will need to have a basic disclosure Scotland dated within last 3 months or be willing to apply.
Responsibilities:
-Proactively manage diaries to ensure that the Director’s time is managed in a planned and thoughtful way. This includes organising logistical arrangements, travel and preparing papers as well as ensuring regular contact with the CEO, senior management team, directorate colleagues, stakeholders and Ministers; ensuring that contact is prioritised so that time is appropriately allocated to priorities at any point and the longer-term focus is maintained.
-Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of emails from the Director’s in-box. Specific mailbox management
– provide administrative support with local learning and development activities.
– ensure support for officials answering directorate correspondence, ministerial and Chief Executive replies, PQs and FOI requests.
– local support in relation to calls for corporate information, business plan updates, risk register information.
– Maintain ERDM files for the Director.
– Set agenda, attend and take note of Directorate Management Team meetings.
Essential Skills:
– The ability to work as part of a team sharing information with internal and external colleagues.
– Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands, organising and prioritising workloads to meet tight deadlines.
– Good interpersonal and communication skills.
– Good written and numerical skills
