Senior Club & Accommodation Host
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Club and Accommodation Host for an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend on a rate of £16.53/hour PAYE. This role is based in the Edinburgh site.
Responsibilities:
– Key holder responsibilities for club and accommodation areas opening and securing premises at end of day
– Fire warden for club and accommodation
– Responsible for stock, files and equipment security on a daily basis
– Completing daily checks of premises health and safety and maintenance
– Completing checks for pool and wet side environment including pool water clarity
– Handling pool chemicals
– Rectifying faults within pool and wet side equipment, including sauna and steam room
– Supervision of members of club and accommodation team
– Supervision of class instructors
– Ensuring all aspects of health and safety are adhered to at all times and all junior members of staff know their role in this on a daily basis
– Setting out daily action plan to meet targets and goals
– Interact, and communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
– Deliver a high level of customer service at all times to ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience.
– Manage customer feedback effectively.
– Creation and promotion of sales initiatives and gym challenges
– Creation and coordination of class timetable
– Management of social media output
– Managing emergency situations, including evacuations
– Provide Lifeguard cover for the wet side environment.
– To ensure all enquiries are answered and dealt with effectively
– To promote and sell products for gym, leisure, accommodation and events.
– Deliver fitness programmes, operate gym equipment and provide a motivational environment in the gym at all times.
– To enter and maintain all records in accordance with data protection, leisure club and accommodation guidelines and procedures
– Deliver group exercise classes.
– Deliver a healthy and safe environment at all times. This will include First Aid cover.
– Clean and maintain the equipment and facility as required.
– Be responsible for the secure and daily handling of monies, stock ad goods received
– Checking on others calculations a lodging banking
– Completing daily reports
– Full knowledge of normal operating procedures and emergency operating procedures of the gym, spa, leisure, and accommodation operations.
Essential Skills:
– If not already in possession of a First Aid Certificate, then you will be required to attend and pass this course within the first month of employment.
– Fire warden training to be completed within one month of taking employment
– Pool plant operators qualification within the first month of employment
– Emergency evacuation equipment training provided
– Desirable health and fitness qualification
– High level of customer service experience is required.
– Level of supervisory experience desired
