Senior People Partner
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Manchester, is currently looking to recruit a Senior People Partner on a permanent basis on a salary of £50,952 – £57,349/annum. This role will be hybrid working with 1-2 days in office, however, the successful candidate will need to be flexible with regards to the hybrid nature of the role.

 
Responsibilities:
 
– Develop, implement, and manage strategic people-oriented initiatives and programs that guarantee the success, growth, and engagement of our colleagues.
– Collaborate with leadership teams to materialise growth-oriented strategies that ensure employee satisfaction, well-being, and align with the core values of the organisation.
– Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of innovation, inclusivity, continuous learning, and development encompassing all organisational levels.
– Coordinate with the People team during the recruitment process, aiming for excellence and diversity in our workforce.
– Mitigate workplace conflicts by analysing and addressing any people-related issues while maintaining a high level of integrity, compassion, and confidentiality.
– Foster a nurturing work environment that emphasises the commitment of the organisation.
– Contribute to the creation, implementation, and evaluation of personal development plans, providing guidance and feedback when necessary.
– To act as a pivotal leader across the broad range of disciplines within the organisation. Paying particular attention to the management and development of the People Partner.
 
Essential Skills:
 
– Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience.
– MCIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
– Evidence of recent CPD.
– Detailed understanding of the principles of change management and able to demonstrate a successful track record of major organisational change.
– Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice, stakeholder management and influencing strategies with a proven ability to turn these innovative ideas into working models.
– Sound understanding of relevant employment legislation and the impact of future legislative changes.
– Ability to communicate complex information both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and effective way to staff and managers at all levels, this will include preparation of papers/reports/letters on relevant matters for committees etc.
– Significant experience of developing and embedding a strategic business partnership approach.
– Strong understanding of UK employment law.
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
– A demonstrated ability to lead change and manage conflicts.
– Proficient decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate through complex situations.
– Proactive and highly organised with a focus on continuous improvement. 
– Experience of working with workforce systems, providing reports, data analysis and formulating recommendations.
– Experience of formulating new ways of working and creating strategies for workplace improvements within operational, and resourcing activities.
– Significant experience of leading a team and delivering results.
– Evidenced track record of achievement in effectively engaging with senior leadership teams in the delivery of workforce services and solutions.
– Evidenced track record of effective partnership and collaborative working with all stakeholders to deliver aims and objectives through a coaching and consultancy approach, supporting and developing the leadership and management capabilities of senior staff throughout the organisation.
– Excellent oral and written skills including influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.
– Excellent organisational skills, working to tight deadlines with the ability to act on own initiative and manage the work of others.
– Experience of using information from databases e.g. ESR to monitor and analyse workforce data.
– Be an effective team member who can relate to colleagues at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
– An understanding and commitment to equality and diversity as per the Equality Act 2010.
– An understanding of the legislative and statutory requirements e.g., Freedom of Information Act, Data Protect Act.
– Flexible attitude to working environment and ability to work as part of a team.
– Enthusiasm, flair and imagination in identifying and developing opportunities.
– Thorough attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
– Discretion in the handling of politically sensitive and confidential information.
