Service Desk Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh / Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an IT Service Desk Analyst for an initial 3 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £181/day (Inside IR35). This role will be based onsite in Edinburgh / Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
– Support staff with IT & Facilities activities such as new starter on-boarding, desktop equipment, local networking, building access control, telephony and video conferencing.
– Assist in the development and operation of IT and facilities procedures and processes of the organisation.
– Contribute to IT service reporting and change management.
– Utilise and maintain support knowledgebase to deliver consistent service and continuity.
– Take ownership of individual incidents ensuring both response and fix SLA’s are maintained to agreed levels escalating to management as necessary.
– Build and maintain good working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
– Identify continual service improvement opportunities.
– Day-to-day maintenance of configuration management data for cloud solutions utilised by the organisation.
– Day-to-day monitoring of the configuration of cloud solutions utilised by the orgnisation using appropriate human processes and tools.
Essential Skills:
– Experience in supporting cloud solutions and access controls for differing SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms and 3rd party managed services, including the execution of joiners, movers and leavers processes.
– Experience working with Microsoft Intune and Windows devices, supporting the resolution of common operational issues.
– Maintaining process and procedures, working with 3rd party suppliers and identifying opportunities for continual service improvement.
– Self-starter, comfortable with individual problem solving and asking for support where required.
Desirable Skills:
– Experience of end user computing and cloud landscape for investment management organisations.
– Experience of service management working within small and evolving organisations.
