Solicitor
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Solicitor for an initial 10 month contract on a rate of £348.05/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office.
Essential Skills:
– 1-2 years PQE holding a valid practising certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland
– Proven experience in public law and one or more of the following legal skills foci: contract, procurement, FOISA, DPA / UK GDPR compliance.
– Experience with compliance with relevant laws and regulations, advising on legal risks
– Experience contributing to the development of internal policies to enhance operational efficiency
– The ability to create a collaborative working culture with an understanding of the needs of the end user
– The ability to work inclusively with a diverse range of people, adapting to their needs
– Excellent communication and analytical abilities Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
– Excellent stakeholder management skills, building rapport and relationships at all levels
– Demonstrable planning and organisational skills with a clear and engaging communication style
– Ability to use databases and systems effectively. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
– Comfortable with handling change and ambiguity
