Storeperson

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Inverness, is currently looking to recruit a Storekeeper for a 3 month contract on a rate of £13.93per hour (PAYE). The working hours for this role will be 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 10am to 2pm.

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Goods Receipt/ Issue, both on the computer-based stock systems and physical receipt and issue

– Participating in stock checks and delivery of goods around the site.

– Keeping the stores areas clean and tidy, working with the Stores Management team to ensure all work is completed correctly and on time.

– Documentation filled accurately and correctly.
– High level of detail required.

– Manual handling training will be provided for equipment in use, Cages, Lifts, steps and possibly Pallet Truck

 

Essential Skills:

 

– Demonstrable experience of working in a busy Stores environment with a sound understanding of stores and stock holdings.

– Good experience of paper and electronic stock management/finance systems and general IT skills.

– Standard keyboard skills

– Manual handling skills and awareness

– Knowledge in relation to Health and Safety, Fire and COSHH requirements

– Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure.

– Post holder should be reliable/flexible to meet the demands of the service we provide to our customer.

– To be able to work as part of a team.

 

Desirable Skills:

 

– Knowledge of stock management.

– Knowledge/experience of healthcare settings and the importance of traceability of product supply and distribution
