Support Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Support Officer for contract until March 2025 with potential to extend on a rate of £155-£177/day (inside IR35).. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office, with up to 3 days per week in
Responsibilities:
– Managing ingoing and outgoing landowner letters, contacting/responding to landowners prior to contractors collecting field data and making sure contractors have the relevant information to complete the survey data capture.
– Manage the equipment log for all ingoing and outgoing equipment issued to field surveyors, organise shipping and return of equipment to and from contract surveyors, assisting with the procurement of new equipment.
– Assist with writing up procedures/processes/ desk notes for new and existing workflows.
– Managing the Contractor Inbox and the Enquiries Inbox, answer basic queries and/or field queries and seek answers from the relevant individuals before responding, be the main point of contact for Surveyors, review the computer filing system and make improvements where required. Other support services include running scheduled reports, organising meetings, minute taking and reporting, assisting in the creation of reports and data requests and providing information and support to colleagues to help achieve the Programme objectives
– Assist with processing invoices within tight deadlines to ensure the contract surveyors are paid on time for completed work.
Essential Skills:
– A minimum of 5 GCSE’s/ or equivalent (A-C Passes) including English and Math’s or significant experience working in an administrative post.
– Experience in working with numerical data and spreadsheets.
– Experience with Microsoft Office packages including £xcel
– Good organisational skills
– Ability to work to deadlines
– Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
– A proactive can-do attitude with a willingness to take on a range of tasks and new challenges.
Desirable Skills:
–Experience with use of ESRI desktop and online GIS products
