Technical Operator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Technical Operator for a contract from the 8th of December until 27th March 2026 on a rate of £31.71. The working hours for this role is 10 hours per week – Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 08.00 to 13.00 (5 hours per day).  
 
Responsibilities: 
 
– Operating broadcast standard vision mixers and PTZ camera controllers  
– Operating analogue and digital audio mixers and control equipment 
– Monitoring audio and video levels to ensure technical requirements are met 
– Use of portable single camera equipment 
 
Essential Skills: 
 
– Experience of working with vision mixers, PTZ camera controllers, analogue and digital audio equipment  
– Experience of working supervised in a live transmission broadcast environment  
– Experience of self-directing and cutting live output 
– Comprehensive knowledge of broadcast audio and video technical standards and operating systems to ensure required standards are met 
– The ability to work inclusively with a diverse range of people, adapting to their needs 
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
