Test Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Test Manager for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £475-550/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
– Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify appropriate participants for SIT and UAT, ensuring representation of all relevant user scenarios.
– Coordinate the recruitment and selection of participants for both SIT and UAT.
– Collaborate with the project team, including Business Analysts to define testing requirements and prioritise test cases.
– Oversee the execution of SIT and UAT, ensuring adherence to test plans.
– Collaborate with our System Integrator to effectively manage defects to resolution.
– Prepare clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, and
defect logs.
– Communicate test results, metrics, and recommendations to project stakeholders and senior management.
Essential Skills:
– Proven experience in test management, with a focus on System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
– Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, including test planning, test case design and defect management.
– Effective communication skills.
– Experience in participant recruitment for testing activities.
– Recognised Testing Qualification such as ISTQB, BCS, ISEB, TMMi, CPRE
Desirable Skills:
– Experience working with a SaaS Implementation
– Knowledge of UK Digital, Data and Technology Standards
– Knowledge of Digital Scotland Service Standards (DSSS)
