Web Migration Project Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit Web Migration Project Assistants for initial 6-month contracts on a rate of £15.33 – £18.07/hour PAYE. These roles will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Auditing website content to assure quality and to prepare websites for going live
– Building new pages, such as homepages, general content pages and web forms to required specifications
– Performing manual fixes on pages that have not passed quality assurance
– Follow set processes and guidance developed by the team to ensure consistency
Essential Skills:
– Based in the UK for the duration of the position (we cannot accommodate individuals working overseas due to tax and legal implications)
– Ability to perform or learn how to perform web content editing
– Evidence of a methodical approach to work, with a great attention to detail especially with web page layout and content structure
– Demonstrable ability to self-organise, manage workload and prioritise tasks so that the most critical are completed in a timely manner
– Proven ability to engage with and support other team members.
Desirable Skills:
– Ability to proofread with an aim of picking up content errors, spelling mistakes, and out of date or redundant content
– Writing and publishing content for live public websites. It would advantageous if the candidate has done this by using a content management system such as WordPress or Drupal
– Some understanding of Agile project management and knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
