Weighbridge Operator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Inverness, is currently looking to recruit a Community Works Operative 3 – Weighbridge Operator for a 3 month contract with possible extension on a rate of £13.34/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– Duties include accurately weighing vehicles, precise data entry using dedicated weighbridge software, and producing Waste Transfer Notes in compliance with current waste legislation.
– Accuracy is critical, as errors may result in statutory non-compliance.
– The role also involves managing vehicle movements, communicating with drivers and site staff, and complying with all site health and safety procedures. This is not a general labouring role; it is a desk-based operational post within an industrial environment.
Essential Skills:
– Applicant should demonstrate strong IT confidence, with proven experience of accurate data entry, and a high level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
– The role requires the ability to follow written procedures and legislative requirements without supervision. Full training in the dedicated weighbridge software will be provided.
– Candidates should also have an awareness of health & safety.
Desirable Skills:
– Previous weighbridge operation experience; experience within waste management, recycling, logistics, or industrial operations; familiarity with Waste Transfer Notes or regulated environmental documentation.
