WordPress Developer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Web Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £400/day (Inside IR35). This role will be remote working.
Responsibilities:
– Contribute to the development of a web platform for the organisation.
– Utilising WordPress based Standard Web Offering.
Essential Skills:
– WordPress
– API – RESTful web services
– Front-end development skills
– React
– Azure DevOps
– Experience and ability to develop to WCAG 2.2 AA compliance
– Skills to participate and resolve any issues identified in WCAG 2.2 AA audits
Desirable Skills:
– Experience of WordPress themes
– SEO Experience (aligned to .GOV guidelines)
– Deployment and configuration of Google Analytics 4
– Understanding of PECR and privacy standards (cookies)
