Information Governance Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Information Governance Manager for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of circa. £300/day (Outside of IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
– Organisation lead on strategic information & records management issues, including being lead author of the organisation’s Information Management Strategy, Records Management Plan and custodian of the organisation’s Business Classification Scheme, Corporate File Plan and Records Retention and Disposal Schedule. 
– Responsible for review and maintenance of a range of records management policies including Vital Records, Records Management, Data, Disposal, Appraisal and Storage of Physical Records. 
– Responsible for development and provision of records management training materials. 
– Organisation lead business user for the EDRMS including upgrades and functionality development.   
– Represents the organisation on the EDRMS Multi Authority Group. 
– Providing specialist IRM input for transformation programmes and for services and ALEOs in relation to BAU activity. 
– Attends Joint Architecture Board and Business Development Board to provide IM input. 
– Chairs and manages the Information Asset Board and Records Management Sub-Group. 
– Has “dotted line” management of the organisation network of SIMs and LIMs who provide IM leadership within services and ALEOs. 
– Custodian and maintenance of the Publication Scheme Guide to Information, the organisation’s Business Classification Scheme and corporate file plan, corporate Information Asset Register. 
– Lead contact for Internal Audit for Information Management related audits.   
– Responsible for implementing data audits across key applications/systems to ensure adherence to data policies. 
– Responsible for the organisation’s Data Quality Policy including development and support of Data Steward network and relevant training. 
– Help the organisation work towards ISO accreditation for data quality (ISO 8000) or similar. 
– Promote good data practice such as use of UPRN across all systems and monitor compliance. 
– Provide guidance and support on how to surface and make data available / open across the organisation and with partners. 
– Develop and maintain policies to support M365 functionality deployment including when to use, who can use, type of sharing, retention period, and size limits. 
– Monitor the usage of M365 functionality in order to provide assurance on policy adherence.
