2 x Protocol and Special Events Coordinator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Protocol and Special Events Coordinators for initial 1 month contracts from 3rd July to 18th August 2023 on a rate of £115 per day PAYE. These roles will be based onsite.
Responsibilities:
– Working with the functional area manager, lead on agreed areas of event planning taking responsibility for areas of delivery.
– Support the Family Delegate experience programme, co-ordinating plans for senior representatives of the organisation, event funding partners and board members
– Supporting co-ordination of on-venue Venue Protocol teams
– Capturing, resolving, and escalating specific risks and issues as required
– Assisting with the development and delivery of role specific training content for event time workforce
– Assisting in preparations of reports and information for the Central Services Team
– Working in conjunction with colleagues in the Project Management Office coordinate desktop and simulation readiness exercises.
Essential Skills:
– Experience of building effective relationships with internal colleagues, external stakeholders, and suppliers
– Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, setting your own deadlines and creating your own workplans.
– Experience of providing administration support to senior managers.
– Experience of working with volunteers is desirable.
– Knowledge and experience of using MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate or above level.
– Supportive, collaborative, and reliable team player.
– A positive outlook and approach.
– Flexible, resilient and positive with the ability to think on your feet
– Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels.
– Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
