Administrator – Part-Time
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Administrator for a 3 month contract on a rate of £17.32/hour (PAYE). This role is part-time with 28 hours per week.
Essential Skills:
– Proven experience providing administrative or coordination support in a busy office or project environment
– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, deadlines and information accurately
– Ability to work systematically and carefully with records, documents and digital information, applying policies and standards
– Experience of records management, document handling and information governance (including retention, transfer and disposal)
– Good communication skills, including supporting internal and external communications across multiple channels
– Competence in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, including document management and digital administration
– High level of attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work to agreed standards
– Ability to work flexibly to direction, manage changing priorities and escalate issues appropriately
– Professional approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders, with discretion and sensitivity during organisational change
Desirable Skills:
– Experience of supporting governance processes, including meetings, papers and decision tracking
– Experience of communications support, including intranet, websites, blogs, newsletters and social media publishing
– Familiarity with digital content platforms and tools (e.g. WordPress, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Substack)
– Experience of setting up or managing SharePoint sites or structured digital filing systems
– Ability to support event administration, logistics and stakeholder coordination
– Awareness of editorial governance, publishing processes and maintaining consistent communications
