Business Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £300-£400/day (outside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.


Responsibilities:


  • As a business analyst, you’ll be an integral member of the MS Teams project that drives the development and implementation of Microsoft Teams within the organisation. You will help create user-focused digital projects by analysing data, speaking to customers and stakeholders, and conducting research sessions to identify key service needs.
  • Working within a small Agile service design, delivery and support team responsible for the rollout and implementation of MS teams Phases 2 and 3 In a multidisciplinary team with project manager, data protection specialists, data management, service adoption members and alongside technical specialists and PMO resources from our client’s IT partner Enterprise IS. Working to requirements and best practice as defined by the Team Leader Business Analysis, this BA role will work closely within the Project Manager for the organisation to help map out new business processes and support the delivery of MS Teams across the organisation’s user base.
  • The specialist will support the implementation of Phases 2 and 3 of the organisation’s MS Teams Rollout While phase 1, the replacement of Skype for Business with like for like functionality is currently completing, this Change Business Analyst role will support the implementation of applications (miro, yammer etc.) and other O365 functionality such as federation, guest access, share-point, email integration etc as per the direction of the MS Teams Project Manager with varied tasks involved day to day.
 
Essential Skills:
 
  • Experience of working as a Change Analyst on Digital Transformation Projects, delivering business improvements through the power of new technology
  • Experience of implementation of MS Teams, SharePoint, and O365 applications
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, Service Adoption, and external IT provider on the implementation of new applications
  • Ability to guide conversations around business policy and governance
  • An understanding of Data Protection and Information Governance
  • Experience of working in all parts of the project lifecycle
  • Requirements gathering
  • Business process design and mapping
  • Ability to identify operational improvement opportunities
  • Help to develop and implement new ways of working within the organisation
  • Must have good PowerPoint, Visio and Excel Skills
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies
  • Team player – Experience being a hands on member of a multi disciplinary agile delivery team taking on varied tasks
  • System analysis – experience engaging with product owner and other departments and suppliers in order to map out processes and associated system
  • Process design – experience working with a team to incrementally improve processes across the organisation
  • Agile design – experience of working closely with service designers to deliver projects in an agile way
