Business Partner – Outside IR35
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Business Partner for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £400-450/day (Outside of IR35). This role will be a hybrid of home and office working.

Responsibilities:
 
– Deliver the Business Partner function for the organisation
– Provide the organisation’s input to Corporate Service Reform and Transformation initiatives, such as hardware refresh and Mobile Working
– Strategic input and project management for all innovation and technology initiatives being led by the organisation, from proposal submission to project completion.
– Strategic input and project management for all Data initiatives being led by the organisation, including innovation, integration, analytics, 3D and Property.
– Collaborate with SIIT and ICT providers to determine suitable options for the organisation’s ICT innovation projects and identify opportunities to deliver technical efficiencies
– Production of Strategic Business Cases and management of all requests to SIIT for technical projects. This includes system upgrades, patching, development requests, UAT supervision, monitoring project spend and controlling project changes.
– Strategic and operational engagement including forums with external organisations
– In collaboration with SIIT will monitor performance of ICT operational service delivery and co-ordinate issue resolution.
– Represent the organisation on matters of Corporate ICT and data governance including information security, risk management and audit.  This includes provision of advice to staff on applicable procedures, Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Sharing Agreements.
– Provide executive ICT reports as required
– Advise Senior Managers in the organisation on technical contractual obligations and opportunities for delivering efficiencies using technology.
– Manage ICT training plan for the organisation’s staff, which is mapped to corporate initiatives
– Oversee technical procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies.

Desirable Skills:
 
– Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
– Experience in special initiatives in support of service improvement
– In depth understanding and knowledge of the organisation’s political and decision making structures.
– Project Management experience.
– Capacity to work with colleagues to drive corporate benefit.
