HR Job Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit 10x HR Job Analysts for an initial 6 month contract with option to extend on an hourly rate of £18-£21PAYE. Role will be based onsite in Glasgow city centre.
Responsibilities:
– Providing a supporting Job Analyst role to the Senior Job Analyst in conducting job evaluation Interviews, including taking comprehensive notes and completion of supporting documents and verification of findings.
– Engaging with services to develop a working knowledge of organisational structures, work activities and roles relevant to those areas being evaluated.
– Supporting Job Evaluation events and briefing sessions.
– Liaising with services and employees to arrange job evaluation interviews and acting as the first point of enquiry for employees.
– Providing support to Job Evaluation Appeals Panels.
Essential Skills:
– Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office.
– Ability to ask probing questions to extract concise information
– Can demonstrate active listening skills to sift important information from responses from interviewees.
– Good organisational skills to organise diary and workload
– Knowledge of relevant computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Word/excel).
– Demonstrates a flexible approach to the needs of the department/ service.
– Aware of own strength and of those areas requiring development.
– Produces clear, concise and easily understood written communications.
– Understands how customers feel and reflects this in the way in which they are dealt with.
– Provides a professional and polite service.
– Works steadily to achieve targets and sets new target once these have been achieved.
Desirable Skills:
– Appropriate HNC/SVQ Level 3 business administration or equivalent.
– Related professional/technical qualification and/or continuing CPD.
– Can review systems, keeping them up to date and fit for purpose.
– Has working knowledge of diverse organisations.
– Knowledge of Gauge Evaluator software.
– Can explain Job evaluation scheme processes to individuals or groups.
– Seeks feedback from others and seeks development based on feedback.
– Spots problems and acts as soon as possible.
– Works well with tight deadlines, when time is short and there are conflicting priorities
