Receptionist
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Livingston, is currently looking to recruit a receptionist for 2 weeks, starting on 4th August. The rate of pay is £12.00 per hour, and working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.15pm.
Responsibilities:
– To act as a first point reception service for visitors to the organisation, monitor and provide support for the visitor recording system, including track and trace elements where required.
– To provide a frontline enquiry service, signposting on matters relating to enquiries, organisation’s process, funding, access to welfare support, events, workshops, access to facilities and other support services.
– To operate as a one-stop information point, providing general advice and support and signposting to support services.
– To operate the organisation’s switchboard, deal with telephone enquiries and connect callers to the appropriate individual
– To work with the Support for other teams to ensure wider access for customers
– To access a range of organisation’s information systems
– Any other duties as appropriately directed by the Information Systems Manager
Essential Skills:
– A good, general standard of education together with good IT skills.
– The post holder should hold a qualification at SCQF Level 5 or higher.
– The postholder should be able to always handle customer service issues in a professional and courteous manner.
– Experience of using word-processing, spreadsheet, database and other software packages for handling customer relationship management.
