Service Designer – Outside IR35
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Service Designer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate between £500-£550/day (Outside IR35).
Responsibilities:
– Lead the design of end-to-end services that are user-focused, accessible, and aligned with project objectives.
– Conduct workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders to develop service blueprints and journey maps.
– Collaborate with business analysts and user researchers to identify pain points and opportunities for automation and improvement.
– Design processes that optimize the use of cloud-hosted organisation’s platforms, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
– Work with the project team to ensure designs meet criteria and support regulatory compliance.
– Prototype and test service designs to gather user feedback and iterate on solutions.
– Advocate for user-centred design principles throughout the project lifecycle.
– Provide documentation and guidance for the implementation of service designs.
Essential Skills:
– Experience designing services for similar sectors.
– Strong knowledge of user-centred design, service blueprinting, and journey mapping.
– Familiarity with automation, process re-engineering, and cloud-hosted solutions.
– Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
– Proficiency in prototyping and testing tools.
