Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dalkeith / Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Software Engineer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £450-£500/day (Outside IR35). This role will be working from home – occasional travel may be required to the Glasgow office or Dalkeith office.
 
Responsibilities:
 
– Work with the existing team to supplement the delivery of a priority project within Business Systems area of the organisation.
 
Essential Skills:
 
– Minimum 5+ Years in all required disciplines.
– Qualified to minimum degree level in associated discipline.
– Well versed in Iterative (Scrum) delivery methodologies.
– Experienced Java / OpenRoad Developer.
– Essentials are working knowledge of Java SE 5/6, Shell Scripting, Linux 2.6 x.y, Linux Shell Scripts, Jboss 4 & 6, Azure Dev Ops, GIT.
– Unit and Integration testing.
