Store Person
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in East Kilbride, is currently looking to recruit a Store Person for as soon as possible until the 31st of May 2025 with option to extend on a rate of £12.78/hour PAYE. This role will be based onsite in East Kilbride.
Responsibilities:
– To provide and dispatch stationery to all Lanarkshire Contractors within a specified time period, facilitating continuity of patient services.
– To monitor, order and evaluate contractor stationery and equipment stock requirements thereby facilitating continuity of patient services.
– To ensure that incoming goods are checked off against goods receipt notes ensuring any discrepancies reported, ensuring that the appropriate procurement system is updated and appropriate paperwork passed for invoice processing.
– Assist in stock counts as required.
– Distribution of products to all Lanarkshire contractors ensuring the dissemination of up-to-date information.
– To Deliver Goods using the department van as requested within the supplies network to ensure that they receive an efficient service.
– Uplift of goods from wards/departments to Central Receipt Point, ensuring that all the necessary paperwork is completed to ensure credit/replacements are received.
– Ensure vehicle is in a clean and roadworthy condition.
– Ensuring Internal and External cleanliness of vehicle
– Carry out daily checks on vehicles and report any fault or defects.
– Refuelling of vehicle as required.
– To deal with telephone queries from contractors/suppliers regarding orders/deliveries and resolve any problems arising therein.
Essential Skills:
– Possess a clean valid driving license for Category C1 up to 7.5 tons
– Possess Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)
– Willing to undertake the department’s statuary training program i.e. Manual handling, Spillage kit training
– Commitment to ongoing personnel development as identified due to exigencies of the service
– Ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team
– Effective written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to carry out stores duties effectively within a changing environment
– Previous experience within a Stores/Warehouse environment.

– Customer service and safety focused
– Warehouse systems experience
