LGV Class 2 Driver (Fort William)
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Lochaber, is currently looking to recruit 3 x Community Works Operative 4 (LGV Driver) for contracts until 2nd of October 2026 on rates of £14.68. The working pattern for these roles are Monday – Thursday: 07:00 to 15:00 and Friday: 07:00 – 14:30.
Responsibilities
– To drive Vehicles on designated routes and the transportation of waste and the deposition at the appropriate facility.
– To provide guidance of the crew working from your vehicle.
– Collection and safe disposal of fly tipping, bulky items, animal carcasses.
– Periodically load vehicles.
– Deliver/uplift waste bins, litterbins, recycling bins.
– High level of client facing.
– Legal responsibilities for complying with Scottish DVSA rules regulations and laws.
– Responsible for the Health and Safety of passenger(s) and overall Health and Safety as relates to the operation of a vehicle.
– Any other work as directed by your Foreperson.
Essential Skills:
– Valid Class 2 HGV Licence
– Ability to work as part of a team
– Ability to communicate effectively
– Awareness of Health & Safety within a working environment
– Good level of fitness
Desirable Skills:
– Manual handling
