Admin Assistant – Part Time
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Part Time Admin Assistant for a least 3-6 months, although it could possibly be longer. The pay rate will be £17.09/hour (PAYE). This role will be hybrid based with one day per week attendance in the office.
You must have a Disclosure Scotland for this role or be prepared to apply for one.
Responsibilities
– Entering and maintaining information in office systems, including SAGE and the client management system.
– Recording outgoing payments and supporting basic financial administration activities.
– Managing enquiries received by telephone, email and post, and ensuring records are updated appropriately.
– Monitoring shared mailboxes and preparing draft responses where required.
– Arranging travel, accommodation and visits.
– Assisting with meeting administration, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, taking notes and distributing papers.
– Updating website content and supporting communications activity, including social media updates.
– Maintaining accurate filing and record-keeping systems.
– Where required, liaising with stakeholders to collect and verify information.
– Undertaking other general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the office.
Essential Skills
– Experience of using SAGE or similar finance systems, including entering and processing invoices
– As a small organisation, all staff contribute across a variety of business areas
