Skilled Road Worker
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Paisley, is currently looking to recruit a Skilled Road Worker with a valid Class 2 License for work that will run until October, although there is a possibility this may be extended. The rate of pay will be £15.66 per/hour PAYE – working 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and 3.30pm finish on a Friday.
Must have a Disclosure Scotland dated within 12 months or be prepared to apply for one.

Responsibilities:
- Working in all aspects of road maintenance and construction
- Utilising vehicles, tools, plant and materials to ensure that all tasks and activities are completed effectively
- Winter maintenance operations
- Driving class 2 vehicles
- Liaise with service areas within the authority as well as external organisations and agencies to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently
Essential Skills:
- Must have a valid Class 2 driving licence
- You must have experience of working within roadworks, civil engineering or within the construction industry
- Have a good awareness of health and safety
- Good team player with self-motivational skills
Desirable:
- An SVQ level 2 in roads maintenance
- Experience in carriageway resurfacing
